Rental terms and conditions

These terms apply to every rental of La Bervinière, whether the whole house, the first floor or a bed and breakfast room. They add to the written exchange that confirms your stay.

1. The property

La Bervinière is a 350 m² farmhouse at 41700 Cour-Cheverny. It has 7 bedrooms and takes 14 people at most, a number that may not be exceeded.

Three arrangements are offered:

• the whole house, up to 14 people;
• the first floor on its own;
• the bed and breakfast rooms, outside summer and outside the school holidays: two ground-floor suites and one bedroom on the first floor.

2. Rates

Rates are shown per night on the Rates and conditions page and form an integral part of these terms.

The rates include sheets, towels, soap and shampoo. The beds are made up when you arrive.

Rates may be increased over the festive season and on long weekends, in particular at Christmas and New Year.

3. Minimum length of stay

The stay is two nights at least during the year, and five to seven nights during the school holiday periods.

4. Cleaning and linen

Renting the whole house or the first floor gives rise to an end-of-stay linen and cleaning charge of €200, billed on top.

This charge covers the linen. We ask you to leave the house clean and tidy.

5. Security deposit

A security deposit of €1,500 is required, by cheque. It is returned after you leave, once the state of the property has been checked, and at the latest within.

The security deposit may be withheld, in whole or in part, to cover damage found, missing items or cleaning that has clearly not been done. Any deduction is justified in writing.

6. Arrival and departure

• Arrival: between 17:00 and 21:00.
• Departure: before 14:00.

Another time can be agreed in advance, subject to our availability.

7. Breakfast

Reserved for the bed and breakfast rooms, breakfast is offered on top at €12 per person. It includes fresh eggs, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, freshly squeezed fruit juice, fresh bread, pastries, local cheeses, jams and seasonal fruit.

8. Animals

Dogs are welcome, at €12 per night per animal. Cats are not accepted.

Your dog stays under your responsibility. The garden is walled.

9. Heating and firewood

In winter the house is heated to 20 °C. Wood for the sitting room fireplace can be made available, at €40 per half-stère, the French measure of stacked wood.

10. Booking and payment

Booking is made in writing, after an exchange about the dates and the arrangement. It becomes firm when we confirm availability to you and you accept these terms.

No payment is made on the site: the site only serves to make contact.

11. Cancellation

If we cancel, everything you have paid is returned to you in full.

Right of withdrawal. Renting accommodation for a set date does not give rise to a fourteen-day right of withdrawal, under article L. 221-28 12° of the French consumer code. Your booking binds you from the moment it is confirmed, subject to the cancellation terms above.

12. Life on site

• The figure of 14 people may not be exceeded without our written agreement.
• Security cameras are installed outside the property, around the building. No camera is installed inside the accommodation or in private spaces.
• A play area and a trampoline are available. They are used under the supervision of the accompanying adults.
• The tennis court, the table tennis, the boules and the games are available free of charge.

13. Insurance

You are responsible for any damage that you or the people with you may cause. We suggest you check that your home insurance covers holiday accommodation.

15. Complaints and disputes

Any complaint is sent to [email protected]. We look for an amicable solution first.

Failing agreement, the dispute falls to the competent courts. The applicable law is French law.
