What we collect and why
The enquiry form
When you fill in the "Make an enquiry" form, we receive:

Purpose: to answer your enquiry and, if you wish, to prepare a stay.
Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, within the meaning of article 6.1.b of the General Data Protection Regulation. In other words, we process this data because you are asking us for information or a booking.
Recipient: the owners of La Bervinière, and nobody else. Your data is neither sold, nor rented, nor passed on for advertising.
Technical server logs
Like any web server, ours records the IP address, the date, the page requested and the browser used. These logs serve to run the site, to spot faults and to limit abusive automated submissions through the form. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the security and proper running of the site (article 6.1.f of the Regulation).
The form is protected by an invisible trap field, by a limit on the number of submissions per IP address and by Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot-check service. On the enquiry page, Turnstile examines your IP address and technical signals sent by your browser, such as its identification string and features of the encrypted connection, to tell a person from an automated program. In the mode we use, it sets no cookie on your device. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the form against abusive submissions (article 6.1.f of the Regulation). Turnstile is provided by Cloudflare, listed further down among our providers, which describes this processing in its Turnstile privacy addendum.
The content of your message, your email address and your telephone number are never written into the application logs.
How long we keep your data

The site keeps no data in a database: your enquiry is turned into an email and then forgotten by the application. The emails stay in the owners' inbox, at, and are deleted at the end of the periods above.
Who else can technically see your data
- OVH SAS, 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, which hosts the server.
- Cloudflare, Inc., which protects and speeds up the site. Cloudflare is established in the United States. Transfers are covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. -, which hosts the emails received.
Your rights
You have a right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection over your data, as well as a right to data portability. To exercise them, write to [email protected] setting out your request. We reply within one month.
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can refer the matter to the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés, the French data protection authority, at 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, or lodge a complaint at www.cnil.fr.
